5 Things That Make Anime Con London Unmissable

Good Vibes Throughout

Many conventions get a bad rep for how passionate attending fans can be, to the point where it can feel unfriendly or overwhelming it can be for newcomers. Once again, Anime Con London delivered a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with many families and children to be seen in attendance. Queues tended to be respectful and calm, with vendors and visitors generally friendly and excited to chat and talk with you. For a fun and creative day out, Anime Con should be on your list.

A Plethora of Vendors

To discover some of the most interesting and talented artists out there right now, look no further than Anime Con. Whether it’s an commission, collaborator, or just some great merch that you’re scouting for, there was plenty on offer. Wallets of convention goers knew no mercy.

Outfit Excellence

While London Fashion Week was going on in other parts of the capital, attendees at Anime Con were giving fashionistas a run for their money with some of the most expensive and intricate outfits to be on display in London that weekend. It wasn’t just attendees either: many vendors also took the opportunity to show of their distinctive fashion and style to those who might vibe with their art. Thus, it became one of the best places to see creative expression through clothes and beauty that weekend.

Quiet Rooms & A Systematic Layout

As discussions around neurodivergence and greater empathy grow louder (and rightfully so) online, those nervous about attending such a big convention need not be worried: gaming rooms, screening rooms and a quiet top floor provided convention-goers with a multitude of safe spaces to unwind. Likewise, the organisation of vendors per floor makes for easy navigating for visitors that might otherwise find such a large convention overwhelming to attend.

Events Galore

Even if you’re not there so much to buy merch or discover artists, events on multiple stages platformed both talented creators and performers, as well as cosplayers that could win awards for their hard work and creativity. Voice actors also had booths where fans could get pictures signed and if you wanted a bite, there was popcorn, waffles and more to hand. Whether you are five, fifty-five or ninety-five, you were guaranteed something to enjoy.

Anime Con will be back in London later this year, with other iterations coming to multiple cities in the UK. For more information, go to https://summer.londonanimecon.com/
