In an era when K-Pop groups touring Europe are few and far between, it is always a pleasure to see new groups traverse European shores and for Billlie, their sojourn to Europe has been more than enthusiastically greeted by fans on the continent. Following stops across Germany and Sweden, Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Sheon, Haram, Tsuki, Siyoon and Haruna finally made it to the UK to perform in front of an intimate but wildly enthusiastic crowd at the Troxy in London.

Kicking things off with one of their biggest hits “GingaMingaYo (the strange world)”, the group focused on showcasing their great vocal skills with songs like “extra-ordinary” and “FLOWERLD”. However, their abilities to hype up and interact closely with the crowd were not to be underestimated. They chatted frequently with the crowd throughout, telling fans about their time in London going on the London Eye, what they enjoyed preparing for the tour, and much more.

During upbeat songs this energy in particular was unmistakeable. “the soul savior ~ I don’t need a superman”, “lionheart (the real me)” and “RING ma Bell (what a wonderful world)” were particular standouts where no complex dance formations were needed in the slightest: merely the seven of them hyping up the crowd was enough. Over the night, they cultivated the feeling that the audience were truly connecting with them on stage, akin to watching friends – albeit incredibly talented friends – enjoying expressing themselves on stage through their music.

A notable section in the concert came by way of the members doing three covers: Tsuki, Sheon, and Haruna doing an dance cover medley of “Kill This Love” by BLACKPINK and “Standing Next to You” by Jungkook, Suhyeon and Haram doing a beautiful cover of “Rewrite The Stars” from The Greatest Showman, before Moon Sua and Siyoon wrapped things up in style with “Pink Venom” by BLACKPINK. All three performances gave the members to present some of their best skills to the crowd more closely, and reinforced exactly why the group’s skills are so deeply loved and appreciated by both fans and casuals.

As Billlie brought things to a close in London with “RING X RING”, “BYOB” and “believe”, one can only hope that they follow in the footsteps of some great K-Pop groups and continue to return to European shores, to bring their great talents, unique songs and happy energy to crowds across the continent.
