My favourite place in the world is… Tokyo, Japan because it has the best food!
One thing you must know about me is… I love to travel, but specifically to try the local cuisine. I’m generally not too interested in the touristy stuff, but I love to eat.
One surprising thing about me is… I joined a South American percussion ensemble as part of my job in the army during my national service.
Something I can’t live without is… Bubble tea.
My favourite dish/meal is… Penang Char Kway Teow, my undisputed king of fried noodles
My favourite thing from working on “Sense” is… It was the first time I produced a song myself from start to finish! It was both freeing to be in full creative control, yet challenging to have to consider all the different elements that go into creating a piece of music.
What I hope resonates the most with listeners from “Sense” is… the uniquely human and universal feeling of falling in love with someone. That’s the feeling I had when I wrote the song!
One behind-the-scenes fun fact or story from “Sense” is… I recorded the entire music video in my back garden. Safe to say, I think my neighbours got a free concert, either that or they are really sick of hearing my song.
A song I would recommend right now is… “Figli Delle Stelle” by Alan Sorrenti. It’s basically Italian city pop, my friend introduced me to it and the eponymous album that it’s on is just pure vibes.
A TV show/movie I would recommend right now is… Shrinking! I just finished the previous season and it’s one of those shows that leaves you with a good feeling in your heart.
The last dream I had was… I dreamt that I was on tour in Mexico. I’ve never been to Mexico, and I’ve certainly never gotten close to touring there but hopefully it’s some sort of premonition!
One piece of advice I would give my younger self is… Invest in Bitcoin! Haha just kidding, I don’t think I would really give any advice because my younger self would probably be too stubborn to listen.
What I love most about my heritage is… How it is in itself, a mishmash of various other Asian cultures. Including Chinese, Malay and European influences. It is reflected in the language, clothes and food too!

To me, diversity means… Appreciating and learning about different cultures from all over the world. I feel that the more you learn, the more you realise how similar we all are, though different in our own special ways. There is so much out there and frankly, staying in a bubble sounds boring!
