PPOP Stage teased a new chart on 22 November 2025, ahead of its participation in the 2025 PPOP Music Awards, held at the Metropolitan Theater in the Philippines. They were previously operated under E Konek Events and Concerts before becoming independent on 1 September 2025, later joining the PPOP Artists League. PPOP Stage is based in Manila, Philippines.
The “PPOP Stage Countdown” is a music programme that previously aired on their official YouTube Channel. Prior to the cancellation of its content and shows, the programme followed a format similar to South Korean music shows such as Inkigayo, Music Bank, and Show! Music Core, aligned and with their vision of “Taking P-Pop to Center Stage”.
Their chart “PPOP Stage Countdown” is free to access and is based on YouTube streams generated through their official website. They upload weekly on their official social media account as well as monthly episodes on YouTube. Rankings also include on-site audiences votes, digital artist presence, and voting through partner platform JuanCast. The initiative aims to recognise and support the local rookie P-Pop artists. PPOP Stage has consistently positioned their project as part of the wider “#PPOPRise” movement and as a community-driven effort with the phrase “Sama-sama tayo sa Byaheng PPOP!” (Let’s go on the PPOP journey together!).
With their second season they’ll introduce a touring format, with PPOP Stage (under their new name PPOP Stage Presented by DOMO DOMO, Powered by JuanCast) set to take place in various venues, schools, shopping centres, public places, and studios across the country. The tour is planned to begin in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to follow. PPOP Stage told &ASIAN that its first airing for the new season is scheduled to take place at STI College Cubao on 13 February 2026, one day before Valentine’s day.
