Outernet and GOSH Charity Launch Immersive Experience to Support Children’s Cancer Centre

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) has teamed up with Outernet London to launch The Big Build Adventure: a free, interactive experience that will run from 6th to the 31st for August. It is designed to raise awareness and funds for the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), and through a fun, interactive experience, the attraction invites visitors to engage creatively while supporting a meaningful cause.

Hosted at Outernet – the UK’s most visited cultural destination with over 80 million visitors every year – its giant, four-storey screens will be transformed into a colourful, motion-tracked virtual Paint Workshop. Visitors can even paint the digital walls of the future cancer centre using gesture-controlled virtual tools like rollers and brushes!

Additional activities include interactive games like ‘Toolbox Tidy’ and ‘Spot it. Build it. Beat it.’, plus a ‘Site Selfie’ station where visitors can take photos and even appear on the big screen. Attendees can also “buy a brick” to directly support the construction of the hospital’s most ambitious project to date.

Cancer remains the leading cause of death among children aged 1–14 in the UK and the new Children’s Cancer Centre will provide crucial, cutting-edge care for young patients, including advanced treatment areas, a hospital school, and outdoor spaces for play and recovery.

Jessica Dracup-Holland, the CMO at Outernet, said: “It is a vital project in our own London community and we’re proud to shine a light on the work in such a creative and immersive way. This experience reflects everything Outernet stands for – innovation, creativity and impact – and we hope it captures the imagination of every visitor while helping to make a real difference for the children and families who need it most.

The Big Build Adventure runs from the 6th – 31st of August. To get involved or to donate, visit gosh.org.
