Stray Kids Close BST Hyde Park With Aplomb

For anyone unfamiliar with Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N – otherwise known as Stray Kids – there has never been a better time to get to know them. Cheers and screams rent the air as the eight talented performers took to The Great Oak Stage to perform a bevy of their hits, kicking things off with “S-Class” before following on a series of energy laden hits from “Domino” to “Back Door” and “MANIAC”.

Fans sang along to every single song and (if they were lucky enough to have space) even danced along movement for movement. Stray Kids is renowned for the precision of their artistry, creativity and skill, and their fine abilities were on clear display throughout the near two hour long set.

Whilst success in the UK Charts – with a number one album already under their belts – is a high indication of the group’s firm (and growing) popularity on these shores, they endeared themselves to the crowd further by mentioning both how special it was to be performing in the UK, as well as wishing the Three Lions well during the Euro 2024 final that was on at the same time.

Their appearance at BST Hyde Park is notable as it makes them the first male K-Pop group to headline the festival, and it is clear why they are widely considered to be at the very forefront of the growth of K-Pop in the UK for a reason. The eight members are magnetic performers with boundless energy; they engaged the crowd during every single track, going from track to track in an unforgettable whirlwind.

The fireworks that went off during the group’s encore seemed to celebrate an truly fantastic concert from the group, and their encore featuring some of their most beloved songs such as “MIROH”, “LALALALA” and “MEGAVERSE” had audiences on their feet until the very last.

Stray Kids will surely rack up another chart hit in the UK with their upcoming album ATE, and with many more fans gained after last night’s spectacular performance, their next trip to these shores cannot come soon enough.
