Stray Kids have made music history by becoming the first K-Pop artists to debut seven charting albums at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Their latest release, KARMA, sold 313,000 equivalent units, securing the octet their seventh No. 1 debut.
This means the JYP boy group officially surpasses fellow K-Pop group BTS, who previously held the title with six No. 1 albums. Beyond the genre, they also overtake international names such as Linkin Park and the Dave Matthews Band, thus making Stray Kids the group with the most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 this century.
KARMA posted impressive streaming numbers, with “Ceremony” hitting the Spotify streaming chart at No. 27 with over 2.5 million streams. The eleven track record continues to showcase the group’s well-loved bombastic signature sound, all created by under their members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, otherwise known as 3RACHA.
