Talented Artists & More Show At London Anime & Gaming Con

Thousands flock to a celebration of anime and gaming culture in Hammersmith, London.

If you haven’t heard of anime: where have you been? From Pokémon to One Piece, Genshin Impact to Spy x Family… for decades now the genre has garnered fans around the world, and with more anime series than ever hitting Netflix and multiple other streaming platforms, anime has never been more accessible to audiences worldwide.

The London Anime & Gaming Con is a celebration of the many series that have inspired so much art and fan culture. Between fashion shows, a theatre displaying anime around the clock and a whole room dedicated to board and card games galore, people of all ages took over the Novotel Hammersmith to enjoy whatever facet of anime and gaming they love the most.

Those who visited were able to not only catch some of the most fascinating, ambitious and gasp-inducing cosplay on offer in the UK, but also many special guests who have acted in many well-loved anime.

However, an underrated joy was also being able to see the many dozens of talented artists and creators that had created prints, acrylic keychains, t-shirts and more in their own unique art styles. Anime has always had the ability to deeply inspire creators and fans worldwide, and this was no more evident that in the artists that had found springboards to their imagination through some of the most iconic animated properties in the world.

Whether you are a decades-long anime fan, a kid delighted to dress up as their favourite character for the day, or just a story-lover discovering the genre for the first time, the London Anime & Gaming Con is a joyful must-attend.
