HYBE America and Geffen Records officially introduced their newest global girl group, SAINT SATINE, on 20 May, during the finale of World Scout: The Final Piece on Japanese streaming platform ABEMA.
The four member group comprises Emily (20, from the United States), Lexie (21, from Sweden), Samara (20, from Brazil), and Sakura (16, from Japan). Emily, Lexie and Samara were previously introduced to audiences through Netflix documentary series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, where they gained an international following during the formation process of the Los Angeles based girl group KATSEYE.

Sakura secured her place in the lineup after competing in World Scout: The Final Piece, an ABEMA exclusive survival programme that followed the search for the group’s final member across Japan. According to organisers, more then 14,000 applicants took part in the audition process.

Alongside the announcement, HYBE and Geffen Records released the digital single album World Scout: The Final Piece – Finale. The two track release features performances from both finalists sith the group’s established members.
Sakura appears on “PARTY b4 the PARTY”, an upbeat urban inspired track driven by a punchy percussion and bass-heavy production. Runner up Ayana features on “WE RIDE”, and R&B song reminiscent of early 2000s pop, layered with four part harmonies and a smooth bassline. Both songs are available on digital streaming and download platforms.

The group name reflect its intended artistic identify. “SAINT” represents talent and stage presence, while “SATINE” evokes elegance and sophistication, combining contrasting elements of glamour and refinement.

The partnership previously introduced KATSEYE, a six member girl group formed through a worldwide audition project that attracted more than 120,000 applicants in 2021. The members later underwent extensive training before competing in the survival programme Dream Academy with the process documented in the Netflix series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.
SAINT SATINE are expected to make their official debut later in 2026. Stay tuned for more details on the Weverse app.
