It was long-awaited, and the day finally came: in 2024 hit K-Pop girl group NMIXX made waves in London when they hit up BST Hyde Park, and fans have been itching to see a full tour from the group since. NSWER’s (NMIXX’s fans) patience was rewarded with the arrival of their idols’ first World Tour titled Episode 1: Zero Frontier, taking place at the Eventim Apollo London with its lavish Art Deco interior. Signifying their limitless appeal, fans present were a mix of all ages and came from all over to see their idols.

The JYP act poured effortless energy into their stages, energised by their UK fans throughout. The atmosphere was electric with light-sticks and banners waving everywhere. Cheers were loud and spirits were high as the six girls made their entrance.
From the very beginning , the show first established a watery theme; waves on-screen and a low Gothic musical backing emulated the feel of voyaging across an ocean. It’s almost criminal then that NMIXX didn’t perform one of their most beautiful songs, “Ocean”, at the show. Perhaps this tells us more about their overflowing array of good songs: how some, though also suitable, simply aren’t able to fit into an already packed setlist.
Ambient lighting and an alien-like theme prefaced the girls’ full entrance, swaying beneath the lights as their first hit song of the night began: “O.O”. It was engaging and electric, with live vocals and choreography which meant you couldn’t help but lean forward in your seat for a better view.
Next up was their song “Phoenix”, followed by “Run for Roses” and “Soñar”: three power hits back to back. NSWERs clearly had fun returning the energy of the six piece, singing at the top of their voices throughout, particularly during fan-favourite track “RICO”.
Soon after, the girls were taking their first brief break to chat with fans. Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin each took the time to test out a variety of the humorous English phrases on the Brits in the audience. Sentiments like “You must be tea, because you’re my cup of tea” drew screams and cheers in droves.
“BOOM” and “DASH” were particularly memorable stages, with their jazzy arrangements from the live band playing on stage being an integral to the performances. NMIXX also graced the crowd with several costume changes: from all-white matching ensembles to sailor-uniform mashups of streetwear with frilly motifs.
It’s clear there was vision for this tour, and costume changes channeled fantastic vintage Versace vibes which suited NMIXX fantastically. Ahead of their “KNOW ABOUT ME” performance, the girls even starred in a catwalk video on-screen showing off similar fits that demonstrated why several of the members have been picked to be brand ambassadors for beauty and fashion companies.
As the concert started to come to a close, the entire venue of fans sung NMIXX’s song “Blue Valentine” back to them. It was captured on-screen for the members to get a closer look at all the many who had come from across the UK, Europe and beyond to come and see them, in a heart-warming moment of intimacy for NMIXX and their NSWERs.
The concert was finally wrapped up in the best way possible: the girls each expressing their heartfelt feelings and thoughts about their time in London and hoping that they’ll be able to return in future. NMIXX’s Episode 1: Zero Frontier in London was indeed a special concert as the group’s first proper tour stop in the country. When the group touch down in London again we highly recommend you give their shows a visit, hopefully it won’t be too long before they visit our shores once again.
