It’s lovely when a beauty product is made to genuinely make your life as easy as possible. No over-promising, no outlandish claims, just a simple concept, executed well. That’s the energy behind the latest releases from fwee, the K-Beauty brand behind the viral Blurry Pudding Pot, the viral Jelly Pot and the viral 3D Voluming Gloss.
They’ve built up an army of fans due to creating fun products that genuinely do exactly what they say they will, and are engineered to be utilised in multiple ways. So here they are again, back with the dual-ended Long-Lasting Dual Coloring Stick Lip+Liner and Long-Lasting Dual Coloring Stick Eye Shadow, two small but unsurprisingly mighty additions to the brand’s ever-playful lineup.

The concept is simple. There’s a skinny end: for the lip product it’s a liner and for the eyeshadow stick it’s a pigmented end in shades that are commonly used for precision work, whether that’s on the top lash line or the waterline. Then there’s a more chubby end: for the lip product it’s a blendable lipstick that applies like a semi-matte formula, whilst for the eyeshadow stick this end comes in classic, easily blendable matte shades.
The dual-ended nature of this product means you only need one thing in your makeup bag. Whilst at first it might seem like a gimmick, this beauty editor has found herself reaching for both items again and again. The precision ends genuinely last a long time (9 hours for me, running around the city all day), and the fun design of the stick makes it a pleasure to even spot a flash of it in your bag during a busy day. If you’re the kind of person who goes straight from the office to a party, all you need is one product, and depending on what shades you buy both sticks can double (triple? quadruple?) up as blush, highlighter and contour too.

fwee deserves real credit with the shade range. For the Lip+Liner, the deeper tones in the collection were developed in collaboration with renowned beauty influencer and a champion for greater beauty inclusivity, Monica Ravii. It shows, with options for darker skinned beauty lovers that are deliberate, not just an afterthought.
@monica.raviii I CO-DEVELOPED TWO LIPPIES WITH MY FAVE K-Beauty brand @fwee !! These fwee dual lip+liners are so unique and the two shades I helped make, pretty savage and chocolate box, are perfect for brown skin! And these are under $20 on tik tok shop! AND $15.30 on amazon (LINKED IN MY BIO❣️‼️)AD #fweepartner #fweeduallipliner #koreanmakeup #browngirlmakeup #browngirllippies
Equally refreshing is the price. In a beauty landscape where every new ‘must-have’ seems to inch toward luxury territory, these feel almost rebellious in their affordability, though this is a fairly normal price point for K-Beauty. At roughly $17 USD and £12 GBP, they sit comfortably in that sweet spot where the product feels like a treat but still very accessible. In other words: you’re not nervously rationing every swipe, and you can actually take your time playing around with it.
In a world where brands are launching liners worth 20 to 30 a pop or more, it’s a relief to be given a product at a lower price point that is created for you to get as much out of it as humanly possible.

If there’s anything left to criticise, it’s that it’d be great to have these products in even more shades. At the moment both palettes are catering towards there being ‘something for everyone’, especially those who are makeup shy, but goodness, I’d love a bold red version of the lip product, or a blue version of the eye stick. Hopefully the clear popularity of both items means we’ll see a shade extension sometime soon. fwee has done as such for several of their other products, so we have reason to hold out hope.

At it’s core, it feels like these sticks are set up for play, fwee’s way of giving us more little moments with makeup that remind us why we found makeup fun to begin with, back from when we were pilfering our older friends, parents or siblings’ makeup drawers.
How great it is to work with a product that not only works and is good value for money, but seems to be created by someone who isn’t simply trying to sell me a narrow lifestyle or aesthetic? There’s a place for that, for sure, but boy, isn’t it nice to remember that even ‘clean girl’ makeup can still be fun and whatever you want it to be?
fwee’s Long-Lasting Dual Coloring Stick Lip+Liner and Long-Lasting Dual Coloring Stick Eye Shadow are both out now.
