KIRE at BST Hyde Park: A Successful UK Debut

Just a mere few years ago, KIRE was still making music in his bedroom, pursuing his dream. At BST Hyde Park last Sunday, he headed out onto The Great Oak Stage to be greeted by a huge sea of fans excited to see him.

Kicking off proceedings on the main stage that afternoon, he set the tone for a fantastic day of music as he serenaded a fan on stage, and rapped and sang his way through his most recent single “don’t stop”, as well as other tracks from his 2022 album IKARUS and more.

KIRE is the definition of a rising international star that you simply may not have heard of yet. He swaggers and glides around the stage with ease, and in his SHIATZY CHEN get up, carefully picked jewellery and Gentle Monster glasses, it is clear even just through style alone how and why he has become just as loved for his fashion choices and overall aura as well as his music.

His brand of chill, sultry R&B pop alongside his stage presence shows that beyond what Western artists have to offer, in this decade we still do have some fantastic solo pop boys out there, able to work a crowd of thousands via sheer charisma, a flash of a smile and some smooth vocal skills. As a producer of much of his work as well, KIRE is set on taking his artistic vision worldwide, and judging by the reaction of the crowd, just thirty minutes on that stage was not enough.

As he closed off his set to many screams and shouts for ‘just one more song’, KIRE had truly made Hyde Park his own.
